Volunteer Services
This successful program matches community volunteers and individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of fun and enriching activities. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Friendship Connection
- Chaperoning recreational activities
- Coaching a Special Olympics Sport
- Assisting with Broadmoor School Activities
- Participating in special events
- Visiting with certified therapy dogs
- Speaker’s bureau
- Quilting and crafting
Thank you for your interest in wanting to be a volunteer for The Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities/Deepwood. We want to ensure that the individuals’ served by our Board needs are being met and that your volunteer experience is worthwhile. We require background checks, personal interviews, and completion of an orientation class prior to becoming a volunteer.
